The United States Grand Prix is an FF1M race that has appeared frequently since the first season. No less than eight circuits have hosted races with Road America the current home. The 2012 season saw two races in the United States, with Long Beach playing host to the United States West Grand Prix, and Road America hosting the United States East Grand Prix. The first ever FF1M race was held at the Phoenix Street Circuit (1991 layout), with Gerhard Berger and ARacing taking their only career wins in the Masters Era. Another notable race was in 2005, which played host to the 300th FF1M race, won by FJR's Jarno Trulli. Michael Schumacher has the most races wins with four, while Maestro Motorsport, FJR, Tornado, and Gojira hold the most team wins with three each. In the classic format, the United States Grand Prix has hosted four races; one at Detroit, and the other three at Phoenix, one of which saw only five finishers in a grueling race. The 1991 race saw Michael Schumacher win in his first ever Canon race.
