Sergio Michel "Checo" Pérez Mendoza (born 26 January 1990) is a current FF1M driver from Guadalajara, Mexico. He began his FF1M career with Shannon in 2010 where he formed part of the Class of 2010 alongside Nico Hulkenberg and Romain Grosjean. Compared to the other two, Sergio's record was initially more modest with just one win before 2016, which came at the 2013 Canadian Grand Prix. A switch to Tornado for 2016 gave him a chance at the drivers championship at the final race, but a crash into the barriers ended his chances.
