FF1M History

Classic History

Chung has also competed in the classic FF1M series under the JGR Meister name for the 1989 season, where she recruited Nelson Piquet and Stefan Johansson to drive a Judd engined car. In only her second race as a team boss, Chung experienced the highs of victory courtesy of a dominant performance from Piquet at Imola. A second win followed at Paul Ricard, and Piquet and Meister found themselves in serious championship contention. Heading into Adelaide, Piquet held a slim two point lead over Ayrton Senna, with Meister just two points behind Gojira and Tornado. However, Senna was in inspired form, taking a dominant win plus the championships for himself and Darkfire, which left Piquet and Meister to settle for 2nd and 4th in the championships.
