The 2000 FF1M Season was the 13th Season of FF1M. It loosely followed the 2000 Formula One Season. It will be supported by the 2000 FF2M Season on the first day of all European Race Weekends. The Drivers Championship was won by Jarno Trulli driving for Gui Racing who also won the Teams Championship. This was in spite of Trulli receiving a one-race ban for an unsafe rejoin. This season also marked the return to FF1M of Fernando Alonso who dominated the sport during the Masters Era.
Rule Changes[]
On the 7th December 2009 it was announced that from the 2000 season onwards each Engine Manufacturer will only be allowed to supply a maximum of 2 teams.
Engine Changes[]
BMW announced in 1997 that they would be returning to FF1M for the 2000 Season whilst during the 1999 Season Japanese engine manufacturer Honda, who enjoyed near domination of FF1M up to and including the 1992 FF1M Season announced that they would also be returning to FF1M as a Works backed team replacing Mugen who had been running Honda engines on a customer basis for the seven years since Honda pulled out of the sport.
