1987 FF1M Season

Previous: 1986 Next: 1988

The 1987 FF1M Season will be the third Classic FF1M Season. It will take place in the Summer of 2011 between the 2005 and 2006 FF1M Seasons.

All Classic FF1M Seasons will have 10 Rounds from the corresponding year of the Formula One World Championship. Unlike in modern FF1M, Classic FF1M Seasons will have points only for the top 6 drivers with 1st place scoring 9 points and 6th place scoring 1. What is more only the best 8 results of the season will count, with the worst 2 discarded at the end of the season.

At the start of each Classic FF1M Season, past and existing team owners will have 100 credits only to choose their 2 race drivers from a list of 22 drivers that competed in the F1 Season of that year. They will also have to choose a Team from that year with which to align themselves with. The team they choose will determine their power and reliability stats for the season.

The season will take place over the space of two weeks, with a race every day and four rest days. Should the championship go down to the wire the final race weekend may be extended into a full FF1M format.
